Considering we’re already well into the month, I’ve decided to keep my goals simple and sweet this month. I realized recently that I am falling back into a bad habit of overestimating just how much I’ll be able to accomplish in a month, especially with a little one. I’m lucky enough to be able to take care of Stephen during the day and his happiness and development is my absolute priority. That’s not to say tending to my business takes a backseat, just that I need to be more strategic with my time and set realistic goals.
I also realized that I’ve just been carrying unfinished goals from the previous month onto the next out of habit. So, instead, this month I tried to evaluate why they were not completed? Did I run out of time? Was it just truly not that important? I don’t have time for “busy” any more – the goals I set and the work I do need to be of substance.
With that, here are my goals for the month of August:
– Dig into the first three sections of Emily Ley’s The Well-Loved Brand
– Cull second shooting photos and send to editor
– Start pulling portfolio images for new website
– Enjoy vacation!
– Order prints for baby book
– Add photos and notes from July to scrapbook
What are your goals for the month ahead? I would love to read them and cheer you on, so be sure to leave your link in the comments!
