FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Where will the session take place?
This year’s mini sessions will take place in Chappaqua, New York. The shoot will be outdoors with a natural background so as not to distract from the main subjects – you! Most families choose to have their sessions take place at home or in a nearby park. I’m happy to provide location suggestions upon request.
What if it rains?
The rain date is Sunday, October 22, 2017 and Sunday, October 29, 2017.
Can I bring my pets?
Of course! Please let me know at the time of booking if you will be bringing your pets. Please plan to bring some toys and treats so I can grab their attention during portraits.
How many people can I bring to my session?
You can bring up to eight people to your session. This number ensures we will still have time for plenty of group and individual shots in our time together.
Can we change outfits?
Unfortunately, no outfit changes are permitted during mini sessions. This ensures we maximize our 20 minutes together so that you feel comfortable in front of the camera and are thrilled with your resulting images. If you would like to include an outfit change, you are welcome to book back-to-back mini sessions!
What if my child just isn’t cooperating during those 20 minutes?
Most children do not like to pose in front of the camera for too long, so sometimes that means capturing the fun things that happen between the posed shots. I understand this can be challenging for parents when you’re working under the time constraint of a photo shoot with little ones – it’s only natural to want that classic family shot! But photographing children usually means they are directing the shoot, so I strive to shoot a good mix of both posed and candid photos for the final gallery.
I need to get my holiday cards printed ASAP – can you send me the photos earlier than promised?
Yes, you can receive your images within a week of your session for a rush fee of $100. You must let me know that you will incur the rush fee by the end of your session.
How do I reserve my session?
Email me at email@example.com to reserve your session – please include your preferred start time and location! An invoice will be e-mailed to you and is payable online. Payment must be received within 72 hours of your invoice being sent; otherwise, your booking time will be released.
